Celebrating a century of “hut hut hike”
To help celebrate 100 years of the NFL, NBC Sports sought to digitize their popular Sunday Night Football bus touring experience. The goal: to transform what was previously a museum set piece on wheels into an exciting, interactive experience for football fans. A bus tour for the 21st century that was not only cool but on brand, on topic, on task, and fully functional. We designed a registration system for lead capture involving NFL-style press badges for post-event interactions with consumers, and we developed an augmented reality mirror experience in which visitors could try on fan-favorite gear and share it to their social media feeds. We also used BP’s Cloud-based background replacement tool so fans could put themselves into their own personalized Sunday Night Football intro videos.
NBC Sports wanted to celebrate the NFL’s 100th year…
…so we helped transform the Sunday Night Football bus…
…and went to visit football fans on their own turf.
