Where creativity and community collide
As the upstart rebel of the photography world that’s ascended to market prominence, Sony Digital Imaging wanted to keep the wild card momentum going. They sought to create a one-of-a-kind, unforgettable experience to run alongside New York’s PhotoPlus trade show and asked BluePixel to help. We started by sourcing a location just a few blocks away from the trade show and taking over the full space. We then transformed it into a fully-branded, flexible, interactive, and Sony-infused atmosphere called Sony Creative Space.
We designed a series of events and areas within the space to represent Sony’s unique role in the photo world, including dedicated blocks of time for education and a section on Sony’s affiliation with the Associated Press. We also constructed full-scale presentation stages to demonstrate Sony’s still and video products, and led bespoke community-building activities. The result? BluePixel not only captured a true representation of Sony’s core values through Sony Creative Space, but made them become the biggest story coming out of the PhotoPlus trade show that year — reaching an audience far beyond the tradeshow attendees. More reach for less money? Always the move.
