Digital Video Production Grounded in YouTube Strategy

The Lowdown is Sony’s new YouTube series hosted by YouTube influencers Jenna Ezarik and Sidney Diongzon. Our goal is to deliver value to viewers through a variety of content. Creator conversations allow our hosts to interact with a variety of creators to highlight their stories and work. Behind-the-scenes episodes give our viewers inside access to places like IMAX headquarters. The Retro Challenge is a recurring structured segment where our hosts compete against each other answering questions related to a piece of retro Sony technology. We also create “first look” videos that are published alongside product launches where our hosts demo the products and educate the audience around key features.

Sony wanted to use their YouTube channel to better connect with their audience in an organically engaging way.

We developed a YouTube strategy that involved partnering with YouTube creators to create an influencer-lead series on the channel.

The Lowdown began production in December 2021, and to date we have published 12 videos from the series.
