Celebrating the new LinkBuds S debut with Tate McRae
BPC’s Experiential team was tasked with creating and executing a viral event to mark the launch of Sony’s new LinkBuds S truly wireless headphones. Leveraging Sony’s relationships with pop star Tate McRae and other key influencers, we set the stage to engage guests in immersive multi-media, retro-themed experiences. Social-worthy visuals and a stream of surprise-and-delight celebrity appearances captivated guests, who took to social media to share the experience across all platforms.
Playing on the tech, rock, and retro elements of this event, we created a series of high-impact experiences. A custom-built speaker tunnel with scores of Sony wireless speakers immersed guests in sound and smart, reactive lighting. Bespoke, heritage-themed turntables showcased Sony’s 70+ years of innovation in audio. All-star pro music photographers shot guests on Sony cameras against a true rockstar photo set, and glam shots custom album covers were delivered to guests in real-time. We even crafted personalized LinkBuds S cases on-site and provided them to attendees for the ultimate Sony tech takeaway.
